Gerringong Music Club once again hosts an afternoon of wonderful music when the international Acacia Quartet presents a delightful concert.
Sunday 29 September, 2.00pm @ Gerringong Town Hall
The programme consists of Mozart’s string quartet no 15, and Dvorak’s string quartet no 12 (‘ American’) with Alice Chance’s quirky but very beautiful ‘Sundried Quartet’.
Members of the Acacia quartet are Lisa Stewart and Myee Clohessy (violin), Stefan Duwe (viola) and Anna Martin-Scrase (cello). Their biographies are available on their website www.acaciaquartet.com.

Acacia are passionate about supporting Australian composers, working with young musicians, and sharing their love of music with audiences of all ages. Their performances feature regularly on radio stations around the world. Acacia’s engagements in Australia include the Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall Sydney, Melbourne Recital Hall, as well as extensive touring through regional NSW and Victoria. The Quartet had their international debut in June 2016 Vancouver, Canada and were invited the following year to give their European debut performing concerts in Berlin and recording a CD. As noted in a review “Acacia Quartet performed so well that at times they seem like only one instrument, such is their clarity and unison.”
This will be enjoyable concert.
Tickets are on sale at the concert from 1.30pm at $20 for members and $30 for visitors, students and children are free.
Afternoon tea is available.
