You may have read via our social media channels that we have announced a new streamlined process to the way that NSW arts funding will be applied for, assessed and delivered to the sector.
We’re calling on you – artists and leadership across organisations of all sizes – to help us create inclusive artform-specific Boards that, together with Chairs from major NSW arts and cultural organisations, will inform funding recommendations for the Minister.
To help us ensure broad-sector representation across these Boards, we’ve opened an Expression of Interest process calling for Members to the following:
- Aboriginal Arts and Culture Board
- Classical Music Board (including Ensembles and Chamber Music)
- Contemporary Music Board
- Dance and Physical Theatre Board (including Ballet)
- Opera, Musical Theatre and Chorus Board
- Literature Board
- Multi-arts and Festivals Board
- Museums Board
- Theatre Board
- Visual Arts Board.
Applicants will have specific artform knowledge, experience and ecology perspective, have demonstrated leadership in their practice (including a senior position in an organisation) and/or be recognised by peers as a leading professional practitioner.
Applicants reflecting the diversity of the NSW community including women, culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD), Aboriginal, people living with disability, LGBTQIA+, young people as well as representation from Western Sydney and regional NSW are encouraged to apply.
Applications for Board membership are open until 5pm, Friday 19 July 2019.
