The Institute of Interesting Ideas, (I3), has officially launched in Kiama, NSW. Committed to bringing illuminating stories from fascinating people to their stage, their Winter Series lineup includes Channel 7’s Melissa Doyle, Author & Comedian Rosie Waterland, Parenting Specialist Maggie Dent, Actor & Author Lofty Fulton, Forensic Anthropologist Xanthe Mallet, “Teen Brain” author David Gillespie, Maverick Motivator, Lucy Bloom, and astrophysicist Prof. Alan Duffy.
The Institute of Interesting Ideas (I3) has partnered with Destination Kiama to encourage visitation to Kiama for our events which will be held at the Pavilion, Kiama, who’s oceanfront venue offers the perfect setting for a special evening of dialogue, exchange and inspiration.
The Institute of Interesting Ideas is founded on the principle that life is for learning, and that we are all simultaneously teachers and students.
I3 is committed to sparking provocative and stimulating conversations by presenting the most interesting speakers Australia has to offer.
From entertainers & journalists, scientists & master chefs, authors & musicians and beyond…I3 will
challenge, provoke, inspire and dare our audience to see the world differently.
Their line-up of speakers come from all walks of life and take to our stage to share their stories, wisdom and ideas with honesty & humour.
The Winter Series begins on 28 June, 2019 with Melissa Doyle discussing “The Stories That Changed Me.” All events will take place on Friday evenings, and will encourage audiences to explore and experience Kiama in conjunction with the event.
I3 is audience focused, and each event will include ample, integrated Q&A and opportunity for book signing and meet & greet following the on-stage conversation.

ABOUT NAIMA BROWN:
Naima Brown has spent the last decade working in News & Current Affairs as a producer and filmmaker.
She began her career in the Middle East, where she was a writer and journalist before spending a year in her home country on the NBC breaking news desk in New York City. She moved to Australia in 2012. Here, she has worked across numerous networks and projects, most notably Channel Seven’s flagship news & current affairs program, Sunday Night and SBS’s award winning documentary program, Dateline. She relocated from Sydney to Kiama in 2018 and hasn’t looked back. Naima’s dream is to bring the world of illuminating stories from fascinating people to Kiama.
