Celebration of Youth Concert Series

MUSIC EDUCATION DOES NOT JUST MAKE CHILDREN MORE MUSICAL; IT UNLEASHES THEIR CREATIVE POWERS. ”

Richard Gill,
legendary conductor, teacher and tireless
advocate for music education in Australia

Please help us bring Richard Gill’s dream to life

Real concert performance experience is critical to the development of young musicians, but very difficult to achieve without support. The cost of putting on concerts is high.

Steel City Strings musicians are absolutely passionate about fostering musical skills and experience in our youth. And so the ‘Celebration of Youth’ concert series was born.

Why we need your help

The cost of putting on concerts is high. But the sheer scale of involving an additional 25 piece youth orchestra plus five additional soloists and composers requires us to book much bigger venues, not to mention the costs of recording, lighting and the behind-scenes staging of the Celebration of Youth season.

What you can do?

We are calling upon our dedicated subscribers and regular concert-goers to play an important role in the success of the Celebration of Youth series by donating through the Australian Cultural Fund.

We would be very grateful for your donation – as much or as little as you’d like.

Creative Partnerships Australia will send you a tax-deductible receipt if your donation is $2 or more.
