SCARF’s annual art exhibition, Hand in Hand (formerly Art4Refugees), is a significant cultural and community event hosted by SCARF – a local non-profit organisation helping to build a sense of belonging for refugee entrants in the Illawarra region.
Hand in Hand remains SCARF’s major annual fundraiser, where proceeds from the sale of donated artworks directly supports SCARF programs for refugee children, youth and adults. As a volunteer-powered community organisation, SCARF relies heavily on this fundraiser to make a positive difference in the lives of refugee entrants.
SCARF are currently seeking donations for Hand in Hand 2019. Hand in Hand accepts donations of original artworks (in any medium) including painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, jewellery and ceramics.
Artworks will be displayed at
Project Contemporary Artspace, 255 Keira Street, Wollongong
20th – 24th March 2019.
