The 34th Illawarra Folk Festival at Bulli Showground in January will feature 75 new acts amongst the 155 selected to perform.

New Australian faces include indigenous acts Emily Wurramara and The Mission Songs Project plus Broads, Cigany Weaver, Co-cheol, Fly Little Sparrow, Hello Tut Tut, Highlander, Jodi Martin Band, Kate Pass Kohesia Ensemble, Liam Gerner, Matt Katsis, Michael Waugh, Miriam Lieberman Trio, Rob Longstaff, Super Rats, Tin Star and The Long Johns to name a few.

There will another strong showing of international acts including Albi & The Wolves NZ, Coral Reid UK, Dana Sipos CAN, Dennis J Leise USA, Fru Skaggerak SWE, Irish Mythen CAN, Jenny Mitchell NZ, Ken Field’s Hoot Band USA, Lindsay Lou USA, Mensch, Monique! GERM, Moussa Diakite and Wassado MALI, Sophie & Fiachra IRE/CAN, The Fretless CAN and Winter Wilson UK

Past festival favourites returning include Ted Egan, Ballpoint Penguins, Cloudstreet, Dave de Hugard, Gleny Rae Virus & Her Playboys, Junior, On the Stoop, Sarah Humphreys and The Pigs.

The action starts from 4pm Thursday 17 January and continues until late Sunday with 350 concerts, workshops, dances, sessions in 11 venues at the Bulli Showground. Book early to save!

Stall and volunteer applications are also open.
