Kiama Jamberoo Community Music Association

Sunday 16th September Steel City Strings with guest guitar virtuoso Aleksandr Tsiboulski at Kiama Pavillion. Serenades & Dances is the title of this performance. Featuring Edwards’ Arafura dances for guitar and strings as well as pieces by Herbert, Elgar and Barber. For those of you who had the pleasure of playing Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings with KJ Strings at our music association’s winter performance, seeing the Steel City Strings perform it will be truly inspiring. This heart wrenching piece of music is so deeply beautiful to play and listen to. Often played in mourning, it was one of John F Kennedy’s favourite pieces of music and used after his death in commemoration. There is plenty to uplift on this program too including Edwards delightful Arafura Dances for guitar and strings. Tickets available at www.trybooking.com/WZMT
