The North Sydney Art Prize is a major biennial arts event showcasing some of the best in contemporary art by artists across Australia. Entries of all mediums are accepted and must have been completed within the last 2 years.
The indoor and outdoor works will be selected for exhibition 2-17 March 2019 at the iconic Coal Loader in Waverton. Selected works will be exhibited in the Caretakers Cottage, Artist Studio, Workshop, Mess Hall, Platform, Tunnels 1 & 2, newly refurbished Chambers, and throughout the Coal Loader site and surrounding parklands.
Major overall prize of $20,000. Sculpture prize $15,000. The 2019 Selection Panel is Dr Therese Kenyon, Artist, Curator, Arts Writer and Director Eramboo Artist Environment, Dr Kath Fries, Artist, Curator, Founder and Chair John Fries Award and Jenny Cheeseman, Head of Curatorial, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.
