Rehearsals take place at Jamberoo Chapel Soundspace at Uniting Church hall, 11 Wyalla Road, Jamberoo.

KJ String Orchestra is having its holiday break this Thursday (19th April) so next rehearsal is start of Term 2, Thursday 3rd May at 6 for 6:30pm start.

SoundScape – Combined Chamber Group (Strings/Wind) next rehearses Thursday 26th April at 6 for 6:30pm start.

Folk Music Session, next rehearsal is this Wednesday 18th April 6:30-8:30pm.

Bluegrass and Old Time Session next rehearsal is Wednesday 25th April 6:30-8:30pm (yes – Anzac Day)  if you want to find out more you can email Wayne at

Coming up Musically

Saturday 5th May 2pm Illawarra Choral Society performs A Modern Requiem by John Rutter at the Church on the Mall. This historic church dates back to the late 1880s and in addition to its work as a Church, regularly hosts classical music concerts by groups such as Con Voci and the Illawarra Choral Society. The program will be presented by the Choir including Soprano Soloist as well as a mixed chamber group and the magnificent organ which resides in the Church. For more info go to

EQ is looking for a Pianist – This duo of Clarinet and Cello/Piano are looking for a pianist to join them. The eclectic duo fuse music from several genres and incorporate electronics to enhance. Katandra Women’s A Cappella Choir is starting up in Kiama led by Antoinette Raynal. It’s a refreshing and energetic format with repertoire from a wide range of musical styles. Nan Tien Temple in Wollongong is inviting performer expressions of interest for the Grand Opening of their Bridge and Buddha’s Light International Oceania Fellowship Conference on 27th-28th July 2018. They are keen to hear from musicians and folk dancers from many cultural backgrounds to exhibit Australia’s remarkable multicultural diversity. More info at

String Orchestra workshop in Bathurst 28th – 30th September 2018 closing date for registration 27th July 2018. This is for adult and older teenager string players of all ages to play, learn and connect with other musicians from far and wide.
