In March this year the Art Bar in Kiama will be presenting a portrait photography exhibition entitled STRONG WOMEN, and we would love you to be a part of it.
We are asking photographers to submit up to two portraits of a strong woman in their life that embodies resilience, fortitude and compassion, together with a short corresponding narrative.
Opening on International Women’s Day, Thursday 8 March 2018, by Shauna Ryan, a millennial visionary, international blog curator, emotional thought leader and founder of the burgeoning social media campaign Project Strong Women (PSW). Her aspiration is to curate an encouraging and empathetic space in which people can share their stories while connecting through like interests and heart led endeavours.
To participate in the exhibition we will require you to send us:
- a high resolution digital file of your photograph
by COB Friday 23 February.
A dropbox will be set up for files. Format and print size needs to be black and white and 8 x 12″
We will organise printing and framing of the artwork, all labeling etc at a cost to the Artist of $60 per photograph. Photographs will be printed on matt paper or photo rag 308 depending on the white and black balance of the piece.
All artworks must be for sale at the exhibition, at a price specified by the Artist. The framed finished work will remain the property of the Art Bar but the original file/photograph will remain the property of the Artist.
Artworks on display will be the Artist Proof (AP) signed on the back by the Artist.
More Editions of the photograph may be made available for sale at the discretion of the Artist.
50% of proceeds from the sale of work will be donated to a women’s charity (to be announced), 40% retained by the Artist, and 10% by the Art Bar to cover the cost of the opening night and promotion.
