Hear passionate activists, Clementine Ford and Ellen van Nerveen, speak about “Writing & Living as a Political Act”.
Clementine’s latest book ‘Fight Like a Girl’ expresses her feminist views with flair, insight and “righteous rage”. Her work has radically challenged the issues of men’s violence against women, rape culture and gender warfare in Australia. She demands that the world do better.
Ellen is a Yugambeh woman from South East Queensland. Through her poetry collection, ‘Comfort Food’, and her fiction collection, ‘Heat and Light’, she voices indigenous people’s call for freedom and belonging.
Interviewed by Winnie Dunn who says “I want to learn and write all that I can as a feminist of colour to achieve complete justice, freedom and equality.”
