NAVA Online Courses

NAVA Online Courses is back for Semester 2 If you missed Semester 1 here’s your chance to enrol in the next round of NAVA’s 7-week online courses: Building Your Audience and Writing Grant Proposals. We’re also proud to partner with Arts Law Centre of Australia this semester to deliver two new 3-week courses on contracts: Arts Contracts for Beginners and Advanced Arts Contracts. Courses start from 28 August 2017 and are completely online.

BUILDING YOUR AUDIENCE Building Your Audience guides you in developing your marketing and communications skills with a focus on generating relationships and building new markets for your work. Through this course you will learn how to effectively promote your practice and arts small business. Facilitated by Ad Hoc. Venue: Online over 7 weeks Enrolment closes: 22 August 2017 Course dates: 28 August – 13 October, 2017 Cost: $298 for non-members / $243 for NAVA members (GST incl.)

WRITING GRANT PROPOSALS Writing Grant Proposals helps artists research, plan and write stronger grant proposals. This course will help you seek and identify well-suited funding opportunities, and research and plan project proposals. You will develop clear writing skills for your artist biography and artist statement, and learn to make your professional CV and support material stand out from the rest. Facilitated by Stephanie Nova Milne. Venue: Online over 7 weeks Enrolment closes: 22 August 2017 Course dates: 28 August – 13 October, 2017 Cost: $298 for non-members / $243 for NAVA members (GST incl.)

ARTS CONTRACTS FOR BEGINNERS A three-week introduction to contracts and copyright, this course covers contract terminology, concepts and best practice so you can develop understanding of basic artist contracts. Facilitated by Arts Law. Venue: Online over 3 weeks Enrolment closes: 22 August 2017 Course dates: 28 August – 15 September 2017 Cost: $220 for non-members / $200 for NAVA members (GST incl.) ADVANCED ARTS CONTRACTS This advanced level three-week course explores agreements and licences used in arts practice and how to negotiate for your rights. The course will examine contracts, what to look out for, how to negotiate, and what you can do in the event of a dispute. Facilitated by Arts Law. Venue: Online over 3 weeks Enrolment closes: 22 August 2017 Course dates: 25 September – 13 October 2017 Cost: $250 for non-members / $230 for NAVA members (GST incl.) This is an advanced course, if you an unfamiliar with contractual terms and concepts, it is recommended that you undertake the introductory course – Arts Contracts for Beginners. ARTS CONTRACTS FOR BEGINNERS & ADVANCED ARTS CONTRACTS (COMBINED) Enrol in both courses starting with Arts Contracts for Beginners before continuing through to Advanced Arts Contracts, covering 7 weeks in total (with a week break). Facilitated by Arts Law. Venue: Online over 6 week courses (2 x 3wks) Enrolment closes: 22 August 2017 Course date: 28 August – 13 October 2017 Cost: $440 for non-members / $400 for NAVA members (GST incl.)
