This painting is “Impact” by Vanessa Harrington, a local artist from Jamberoo.
The work “IMPACT” was influenced by the artists’ families’ love of Kiama and the ocean. Daily conversations about the swell, direction of the wind and tides all contribute to the decision of where to surf on a given day. Kiama has a strong surfing culture and it appeals to all ages. The ocean is a powerful force and its dynamic nature makes it an excellent source of inspiration. This painting is dedicated to all the surfers whose love of the ocean can really only be understood by them.
