Shellharbour City Council are currently calling for expressions of interest from artists who wish to create a contemporary public art mural in the Oak Flats town centre.
The aim of the project is to create an artwork that is reflective of, and valued by the local community, businesses and visitors. We encourage submissions that will enhance and enliven the area, connect and inspire the community and enrich the daily lives of the area’s residents and visitors through a visual celebration of place. It is hoped that the artwork will also reduce the incidence of graffiti, tagging and malicious damage to property in the area.
A fee of up to $3,000 is payable which will cover all costs to develop and deliver and the artwork.
Expression of Interest submissions must be received at Council by 9am, Wednesday 18 May 2016.
