Keep Kiama Council Local

Keep Kiama Local

Important Community Workshop

Organised by the Keep Kiama Council Local Committee this community workshop will encourage the sharing of ideas, strategies and resources that will keep the Keep Kiama Local campaign alive and fresh in everyone’s minds.

Our Kiama arts community may be one of the areas hit by the merger, as a non core service within Council.

Unlike Kiama Council which has fully supported the development of the Kiama Cultural Arts Network, our many and varied festivals, cultural grants, artists gatherings, the Kiama Cultural Board and much more, a new Shoalhaven Council may have very different views on how it supports the arts.

We need our creatives to help create our way forward in showing the Baird Government again and again that ‘we shall not, we shall not be merged…’

When | Thursday 17th March

Sessions | 2 -4 pm or 7 – 9 pm

Where | Saddleback Room, The Pavilion

The Committee will also be looking for people willing to get involved in bringing the workshop suggestions to life.

Now that the submission period has finished, we need to continue to promote the campaign to the local community, the media and the politicians in Macquarie St.

To book in email the Committee on mckinnonroo@yahoo.com.au or indicate online through the Facebook event page
