August’s musical offerings, start with the big talent of Darren Coggan the Sebel Kiama ..and ends with a humdinger of a blues night at Kiama Bowlo  with Ray Beadle, Jacky Howellers & The Stingers.

Friday August 15

Milena Barret & Rob Turner @ Blue Diamond Bar, Kiama Sebel 7-10pm

English blues & soul singer with a huge voice showing touches of Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin. Milena sings tonight with highly acclaimed Sydney blues guitarist Rob Turner. Expect the real deal here.

The Escalators @ Blue Diamond Bar, Kiama Sebel 7-10pm

Get down, get back up. The Escalators are a fantastic funk, jazz, blues combo, gorgeous vocals, personality plus.

Nick Russoniello @ Wollongong Con of Music Auditorium Glennifer Brae 7.30pm

Between Worlds is Nick’s much anticipated debut album featuring the acclaimed Acacia Quartet. Enjoy works by Chick Corea, Elena Kats Chernin, and others. A unique soundscape of sax with strings, Russoniello sings, slaps, scoops and slides in this exploration of music from ragtime to rock and everything in between. Ray Beadle & the Silver Dollars, The Jacky Howellers, The Stingers @ Kiama Bowling Club 7.00pm $5

Blistering, sizzling, stinging & rocking … here’s a night of heavyweight blues, not to be missed and only $5 at the door! What a line up. Ray needs little introduction as one of Australia’s foremost blues players and his band of rockers. The Jacky Howellers comprising the sizzling blues harp of Dan Sullivan and the powerhouse vocals of Rod Mitchell…and The Stingers, legends of Kiama Blues scene fronted by hero harp player, Lee Holman.
