24–26 September (Tuesday through Thursday). Paula will conduct a creativity workshop in photography, painting, drawing, and collage. You will be given interesting refuse to reclaim in art. We will see what materials and objects attract us and what story that tells. Paula will help everyone develop their own story using the materials provided, and whatever found, discarded, or pre-loved materials you want to add. Photographers (own camera) can photograph both workshops and should present their work online.

27–29 September (Friday through Sunday). Anita Larkin will lead a workshop in creating artworks from refuse. The class will look at various mechanical methods of joining different materials together, such as riveting, screwing and gluing, and using fillers. For this workshop participants are asked to bring their own found or discarded materials to assemble together to make sculptures with a strong narrative. We will be looking at ways to animate the inanimate and to bring the discarded back to life.

28th September (Second-Hand Saturday). From 8am to 10 am, we will all go to the carboot sale in Kiama to find pre-loved objects and collect information for future work.

29th September. Refuse party, display and discussion of the artworks at the Old Fire Station starting at 5:00pm
