Join us to celebrate the close connection that eminent landscape artist Lloyd Rees had with our area, and to commemorate 25 years since his death. Discover the landscape, learn about the artist and see some of his work. Develop your artistic talent, eat and drink well, and have fun…

Thursday 31 October

Masterclass 1, 10 am – 4 pm | Werri Progress Hall $85

Becky Guggisberg and Auguste Blackman, drawing with colour pencil/pastel and graphite

Festival Launch, 6.30 pm

Opening event: an intimate view of Lloyd Rees’s life and work plus photographs & textiles; meet AlanRees, son of Lloyd Rees, and his wife, Jan; catch up with old friends, and make new ones. Wine, canapés and music Gerringong Town Hall $25

Friday 1 November

Exhibition, Gerringong Town Hall 10am – 4pm. Paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, textiles

Bus tour to Shoalhaven, 9.30am – 4pm

Visit Shoalhaven City Arts Centre and see an exhibition of Lloyd Rees South Coast works from major Australian galleries. Then travel to Bundanon to see Arthur Boyd’s magnificent property, and Boyd family art works. Lunch and entry to Bundanon included, limited places $80

Masterclass 2, 10am – 4pm

Launch of Museum Display, 5.30 pm

Music Lloyd loved, and commissioned work inspired by his paintings, with Wendy Hiscocks, composer/pianist, the Berrima Singers, and soloists $30

South Coast Through Aboriginal Eyes

Traditional Custodians of the South Coast will hold one hour sessions, telling Dreaming Stories about Country, tools and weaving, with separate men’s and women’s business.

Times, cost, and meeting places will be on the website, and at the Festival Office.

Lloyd Rees – Works from the South Coast

There will be an exhibition of paintings drawings and prints on loan from major Australian galleries at the Shoalhaven City Arts Centre in Berry Street, Nowra.
